Who’s Actually In MobLand? The Cast That’s Got Everyone Talking

Published on October 6, 2025 by admin

MobLand was released by Paramount Plus in March 2025 and has turned out to be one of those shows everyone’s raving on about. The cast of Mobland is absolutely packed – and by that I mean Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. But that’s three massive names before you even get to the rest of the line-up. The series was renewed for a second season on June 23, 2025, with an audience of 26 million viewers. That’s proper numbers, that is, and Paramount clearly knew they were onto something good.  Created by Ronan Bennett and Jez Butterworth, it’s a British crime drama about two feuding families and Harry Da Souza, the fixer caught between them, who is trying to keep everyone alive.

The Big Three Leading The Show

Tom Hardy portrays Harry Da Souza, a streetwise fixer who is caught in the middle of two crime families and is trying to avoid ending up dead. Hardy is 47 now, and he has done everything from Bane in The Dark Knight Rises to Mad Max to Venom.  The bloke can act, no question about it. Harry is someone who knows the streets, knows how the game works, and is trying to survive while keeping his family safe. Pierce Brosnan stars as Conrad Harrigan, leader of the Harrigan crime family. Yeah, that’s James Bond himself portraying a crime boss.

Brosnan is 72 now but still commands screen presence like nobody’s business. Conrad’s definitely the patriarch, the one who made this empire what it is, and he’s not going to let that be taken away from him. Helen Mirren plays Maeve Harrigan, Conrad’s wife and the true power behind the throne in many respects. Mirren is 80 years of age and still acting circles around people half her age.  Maeve is not simply a mob wife sitting in the background — she’s involved, she’s strategic, and she’s possibly more dangerous than her husband.

The Cast of Mobland Season 1 Supporting Players

Paddy Considine plays Kevin Harrigan, Conrad and Maeve’s son. Kevin’s got that classic problem of being born into a crime family – he wants his father’s approval, but he’s also trying to carve out his own identity within the organisation.  Considine’s brilliant at playing complicated characters, and Kevin’s definitely complicated. Joanne Froggatt is Jan Da Souza, Harry’s wife. She’s also the mother of the cast of MobLand, Gina, their daughter. Jan knows what Harry does for a living, and she’s not happy about it, but she’s stuck between wanting him safe and wanting him out of this life.

Froggatt played Anna Bates in Downton Abbey, so she knows how to do complex emotional work. Lara Pulver plays Isabella “Bella” Harrigan, Kevin’s wife. That’s another person trying to navigate life in a crime family whilst raising kids. Pulver was in Sherlock playing Irene Adler, so she’s got form playing strong women in morally complicated situations. Cast of MobLand Seraphina is played by Mandeep Dhillon. Seraphina is Conrad and Maeve’s loyal daughter. She might not know every dark detail of the family business, but her loyalty’s never in doubt.  Dhillon brings this proper warmth to the character whilst also showing that Seraphina’s not stupid – she knows more than she lets on.

The Younger Generation

Anson Boon plays Eddie Harrigan, Kevin and Bella’s rebellious son. Eddie’s at that age where he wants to prove himself, wants to be part of the family business, but doesn’t fully understand what he’s getting into.  Boon’s got this energy that makes Eddie feel like a proper teenager – impulsive, cocky, vulnerable. The younger generation in this show is interesting because they’re inheriting this legacy they didn’t ask for. They’re born into it, expected to be loyal to it, but they’re also seeing the consequences of this life up close.

The Associates and Fixers

Jasmine Jobson plays Zosia, one of Harry’s closest associates. Zosia helps Harry fix problems, handle situations, and keep things running smoothly. She’s not family, but she’s trusted, which in this world means everything. Jobson brings this quiet intensity to the role – Zosia doesn’t need to shout to be heard. The cast of MobLand lawyer characters haven’t been as prominent in season 1, but there are various legal advisers floating around trying to keep everyone out of prison. Given it’s a mob show, lawyers are always part of the background machinery.

The cast of MobLand police officer roles has been interesting too. The coppers in this show aren’t just one-dimensional good guys – they’re navigating their own moral compromises, dealing with corruption, and trying to do their jobs whilst knowing the system’s rigged. Cast of MobLand, Paul hasn’t been a major character name in season 1 based on the main cast listings, but the show’s got loads of supporting characters who flesh out this world.

Other Notable Faces

Geoff Bell’s in there playing various roles. Bell’s one of those British character actors who pops up everywhere – you’ve definitely seen him in something even if you can’t remember what. He’s got that proper East London hard man energy. Daniel Betts plays Brendan, another key figure in the Harrigan organisation. Alex Jennings plays Archie, described as a long-time friend of Conrad.  These are the people who’ve been around forever, and know where the bodies are buried – literally and figuratively. Lisa Dwan and Emily Barber round out the cast of Mobland season 1 with various supporting roles.  It’s a massive ensemble cast, which makes sense for a show about two entire crime families going to war.

What About the Cast of Mobland Season 2?

As of October 2025, Paramount is keeping details about the cast of Mobland (2025) season 2 under wraps. The renewal was announced in June but they haven’t said who’s definitely coming back or if there’ll be new cast members joining. Safe bet is the main three – Hardy, Brosnan, and Mirren – will return. You don’t build a show around those names and then drop them for season 2. The supporting cast will likely depend on who survived season 1. It’s a mob show, so not everyone makes it to the end credits. The cast of Mobland season 2 will probably bring in some fresh faces, too. New characters, new problems, new conflicts. That’s how these crime dramas work – you need new blood to keep things interesting.

Why This Cast Works

The cast of Mobland works because it mixes established stars with talented character actors. You’ve got your big names to draw viewers in, but then you’ve got these brilliant supporting players who make the world feel real and lived-in. British crime dramas do this well anyway – they cast properly, they don’t just go for pretty faces. Everyone in MobLand feels like they belong in this world.

The accents are right, the energy’s right, the chemistry’s there. Having three actors of Hardy, Brosnan, and Mirren’s calibre anchoring the show gives it weight. These aren’t people who need to prove themselves – they’ve got decades of work behind them. They can just inhabit these characters and make you believe every second of it. The younger cast members hold their own, too. Anson Boon as Eddie doesn’t get lost next to Pierce Brosnan. Mandeep Dhillon as Seraphina can share scenes with Helen Mirren without fading into the background. That takes skill and confidence.

The Verdict

MobLand’s success isn’t just about the writing or the direction – it’s about getting the casting right. Paramount clearly threw money at this, getting A-list names, but they also filled out the supporting roles with actors who can actually act. Season 2’s coming eventually, probably sometime in 2026 if production schedules play out normally. Whether the entire cast survives season 1 to make it to season 2 is another question entirely. It’s a crime drama – people die, loyalties shift, and empires crumble. But for now, the cast of Mobland has delivered one of the biggest shows on Paramount Plus, and that’s no small achievement.
